I like to use CombatLoops on my range-hammers and competition rigs where I deliberately mount them upside down incase the sliding lock gets popped open - mounted lock-down lets gravity and the upside down orientation to usually let everything hang off the belt until its noticed - instead of immediately dumping the rig to the ground if it were to be accidentally slid & pressed when mounted lock side up. Also, it’s more difficult to accidentally unlock & open the Combat loop when mounted lock side down.

I like these attachments, but I am still a bit middle of the road as to if I want to use them full time on products over a teklok. I have a handful of pistol mag carriers for local deputies, and they have all said that at some point the button comes un-done even when its been locked. It seems to unlock itself sometimes. It is a great alternative to a teklok, and I like how much easier it is to open and manipulate on a belt than a teklok. I will have to do a bit more testing with this one. But still a good product.

My go to belt attachment has always been the Tek Lok. But then I came across the Combat Loop. The price is almost half of a Tek Lok, and in my opinion, the opening mechanism is easier. Unlike the Tek Lok whose sides you need to squeeze, the Combat Loop has a button on the top that is incredibly easy to depress. The button slides to one side to "lock" and is prevented from opening. This is NOW my go to belt attachment for knife sheaths, as well as holsters.
